From 23rd to 26th May 2019, more than 340 million people are being called to vote.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2192<\/strong>\u00a0Union citizens, resident in a Member State of which they are not nationals have the\u00a0<strong>right to vote and to stand as candidate in that Member State<\/strong>, if they so wish.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2) THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT: IS THE ONLY INSTITUTION THAT HAS SEEN ITS POWERS INCREASE AS THE TREATIES HAVE BEEN SIGNED<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>European Parliament is the only institution whose powers have grown continuously over the last thirty years, whether this is on a legislative or budgetary level \u2013 notably with regard to the Council of Ministers and in terms of control, notably with regard to the European Commission.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2192 Voting has a real effect :<\/strong>\u00a0the continuous increase in power on the part of the European Parliament gives voters political weight and influence which is\u00a0<strong>real<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3) THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT: REAL EFFECT ON THE DAILY LIFE OF EACH EUROPEAN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Elected five years the European Parliament is a major player in the European Union\u2019s decision making process. It votes and shapes European legislation that influences your daily life notably in terms of the protection of the environment and consumer security.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2192 Voting in the European Parliament elections<\/strong>, means choosing who will act and vote on your behalf for the next five years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>4) MEPS: YOUR CHOICE IN EUROPE !<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By voting iEuropean elections European citizens choose the representatives that embody his\/her\u00a0<strong>ideological and partisan preferences<\/strong>\u00a0directly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2192<\/strong>\u00a0Voting is a partisan choice: European voters can influence the political composition of the European Parliament and therefore the orientation and content of European policies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>5) VOTING: A CHOICE IN FAVOUR OF YOUR COUNTRY\u2019S INFLUENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The European Parl is a strategic institution used to influence the European Union\u2019s Member States: the European electorate\u2019s vote must also be seen as a choice in terms of\u00a0<strong>national influence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2192<\/strong>\u00a0Voting in the European elections will be all the more effective if it is en masse and it will enhance the influence of MEPs within the European Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"container\">\n<div class=\"content_page bloc\">\n<div class=\"post\">\n<div class=\"post_content\">\n<div class=\"info\">\n<p><strong>6) ABSTENTION: AN ADVANTAGE FOR THE EXTREMISTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Abstention in the Europections is extremely costly in that it promotes the extremists whose supporters generally mobilise to a greater degree.
