{"id":6159,"date":"2023-11-14T17:36:32","date_gmt":"2023-11-14T16:36:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2024.electionseuropeennes.eu\/les-types-dactes-legislatifs-europeens\/"},"modified":"2023-11-15T15:28:41","modified_gmt":"2023-11-15T14:28:41","slug":"the-types-of-european-legislative-acts","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.electionseuropeennes.eu\/en\/the-types-of-european-legislative-acts\/","title":{"rendered":"The types of European legislative acts"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1695915631865{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 50px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h1>The types of European legislative acts<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are\u00a0<strong>5 types of legislative acts<\/strong>\u00a0in the European Union.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h2>Regulation<\/h2>\n<div class=\"bloc\">Regulations necessarily and directly apply in every aspect to the 28 Members States of the European Union.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"bloc\"><i>Example : Regulation (EC) No 1907\/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), establishing a European Chemicals Agency.<\/i><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h2 class=\"bloc\"><a name=\"directive\"><\/a>Directive<\/h2>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"bloc\">\n<div class=\"bloc\">Directives apply to all Member States but they have the choice of how to achieve the expected result. It involves the transposition of the law from European into national legislation.<\/div>\n<div class=\"bloc\"><i>The Single Market was mainly built by means of directives.<\/i><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"bloc\"><i>Example : Directive 2006\/123\/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2006 on services in the internal market (the so-called \u201cBolkestein directive\u201d).<\/i><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h2>Decision<\/h2>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"bloc\">\n<div class=\"bloc\">Decisions are obligatory in all respects and apply to specific targets.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"bloc\"><i>Example: Commission Decision of 19 December 2008 setting up the Committee of Experts on Posting of Workers (2009\/17\/EC).<\/i><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h2>Opinion<\/h2>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"bloc\">\n<div class=\"bloc\">Opinions are acts which are not obligatory but which express the opinion of a community institution or organisation.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"bloc\"><i>Example: Opinion of the Committee of the Regions Opinion on \u201cMultilingualism\u201d (2008\/C 257\/06)<\/i><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h2>Recommandation<\/h2>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"bloc\">\n<div class=\"bloc\">Recommendations are not obligatory acts issued by the Council or the European Commission to encourage Member States to act in a certain manner.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"bloc\"><i>Example: Commission Recommendation of 11 February 2009 on the implementation of a nuclear material accountancy and control system by operators of nuclear installations (2009\/120\/Euratom).<\/i><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"bloc\"><\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1695915631865{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 50px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text] The types of European legislative acts &nbsp; There are\u00a05 types of legislative acts\u00a0in the European Union.
